This week an accomplished old PBM gamer hosts a young lad that has managed to teach the old dog a few tricks oveer the years, but remains the understudy.
Flesfader, a one time flag gridiron coach, and Coombe, the team's forgetable overachiever, fight out a gameplan game this week for the first time in half a decade.

The Chiefs have the leagues 2nd stingiest defence and the offence that has created more yards than any other, the eagles have the worst offence and the 4th best defence. Interestingly the teams have #1&2 pass defences over 5 weeks. The Eagles underbelly has been too soft so far and Holmes will be called upon to carry the day for the natives. Fumble-prone McNabb is not expected to return home to Philly if he has another embarassing performance like last week. Some analysts believe Eagle scouts will be taking the oportunity to check out BQ David Greene, whom they overlooked to take HB Westbrook in this years draft.

Who will be the real winner? Why this great league of course!
My prediction Chiefs 20 Eagles 8

As much as I hope the eagles would win, the chiefs should come out on top.

Norm is dead right, there is very little I enjoy more than matching up against the old Sensei. Whether it be win loss or draw. The competition is fierce and friendly too- gameplan at its best
Its a good thing our teams finished last last year so we play in the crossover round, all I have to do now is win the NFC East so we can do it again next year!
I am doing my GPlan right now, and leaving no stone unturned!!
Go Eagles!

update
THe gameplan is in, every single box on offence was changed, yes you read that right!
We are either going to burst that Chief bubble
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/bubblegum.gif
or make one hell of a splat when we hit the wall!

A win will require a huge effort from our D, great punting and kicking and an improvement on offence- not to mention a few key chief mistakes!

Well no one got the scoreline right, and although it looks like the Eagles played great from the scoreline the Chiefs were in control with 10 minutes morre of ball possession.
Great game, like dave said to me it was like a great arm wrestle!
The game did not disapoint, I learned a bit, played better than I thought, got 3 LPs a form gain and much fun!
Dave's punting was the difference in the game, and his posession total.

congrats dave!

Great game Alex, so bloody close, well done. Looks like you are on the right track with your plays balance with the team you currently have.
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/thumb%20up.gif

That gives the rest of us hope that the Chiefs can be pushed.

Al didn't see our great ruse, when we played our practice squad in place of our starters.  The A-team needed a little time off to get the suntan, save themselves for a pasting of Gregs Patsies! http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/rofl.gif

Al's Eagles were fantastic and gave us a great run, his defensive turnovers nearly won them the game.  really have to mop up the slopioness for New England. In fact Greg and i have the advanced double this week in the AY and GA.  Looking forward to locking horns with an aussie coaching icon! http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/surprised.gif

Greg, must admit the patsies are looking like cream puffs at the moment, time to make some tough decisions.

i'm a bit confused at the moment i saw what i thought was a weakness and changed it but now i'm weaker i do do quite a few different things from week to week(as my team is fairly balanced) i'm wondering if these constant changes work against you as  sometimes intangibles seem to work against me i wonder if less changes (stay with 1 philophosy and don't change too much)builds up some kind of invisable form

SOunds like you just haven't quite inked in your successful components yet.
You can't expect to dominate all the time!
Seems smart to change a weakness to me!
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/thumb%20up.gif
If you had a great plan that worked for ages it would be easier to stop you, than if you changed all the time, as long as you don't sp[read your training around too much etc huh?

Don't know what the others think, but the balanced gameplan only seems to work if you are very strong overall. Otehrwise i think you need to make a strength and capitalize with the weaker part of your game when you have the other team where you want them. I found i had to readdress the whole structure of my gameplan early this year both in the GA and AY because it was not plain working.  I started on defence and spent plenty of coaching (play calls) on it and boosted its form, then got stuck into the offence. Your defence is first class, so only your offence needs a tweak.  I always liek to have a look at the parameters that are working, and reowrk the stuff that could be improved. just a matter of time, gather you are a runoffence man?
