The Packers are surely on autopilot, they've used the same plays over and over again. |

I thought the same about the cowboys, their weekly results are usually identical- they must have a great gameplan if this is the case! ![]() These are the most recent special actions in the AY, they may be useful for people to determine which teams may need a new coach. 00 Colts sign FA 116 as 59, Cato June at LOLB Patriots sign FA 24 as 24, Ty Law at NCB Patriots start no 52 at LOLB and 54 at LILB Patriots start no 12 at QB and 6 at BQ Patriots start no 38 at RCB and 23 at SS Patriots start no 92 at DLE and 93 at DRE Dolphins start no 23 at RCB and 21 at NCB Browns start no 10 at QB and 2 at BQ Browns start no 54 at MLB and 52 at ROLB Browns coach DPL DB no 24, Robert Griffith SS Browns coach DPL DB no 21, Lewis Sanders NCB Browns start no 95 at DRT and 94 at NT Titans start no 7 at QB and 9 at BQ Titans waive no 9, Steve McNair Titans fix no 7, Billy Volek Seahawks sign FA 142 as 42, Kris Richard at LCB Chiefs sign FA 26 as 42, Shaunard Harts at NCB Chiefs change no 22 to 24, Sammy Knight Chiefs change no 87 to 14, Jeris McIntyre Chiefs change no 85 to 87, Eddie Kennison Chiefs change no 9 to 7, Ben Graham Chiefs start no 25 at FS and 21 at LCB Broncos start no 89 at TE1 and 84 at TE2 Redskins coach DRI LB no 55, Kevin Mitchell RILB Redskins start no 55 at MLB and 54 at RILB Redskins start no 86 at WR2 and 87 at WR3 Redskins start no 21 at FS and 25 at NCB Redskins start no 30 at FB and 40 at RB Eagles sign FA 108 as 81, Billy McMullen at WR4 Eagles change no 28 to 36, Brian Westbrook Eagles change no 87 to 83, Greg Lewis Eagles swap nos 98 and 90 Eagles swap nos 96 and 94 Eagles swap nos 26 and 32 Cardinals waive no 85, Freddie Jones Cardinals waive no 79, Calvin Pace Cardinals waive no 52, Levar Fisher Cardinals waive no 10, Scott Player Cardinals waive no 7, Bill Gramatica Vikings sign FA 25 as 27, Brian Russell at SS Vikings start no 34 at RB and 20 at FB Vikings start no 76 at C and 78 at RT Vikings start no 94 at NT and 79 at DLT Vikings start no 24 at SS and 27 at FS Vikings start no 22 at FS and 27 at NCB 49ers coach DRO DL no 90, Travis Kirschke DLT 49ers fix no 97, Bryant Young Rams coach DBZ DL no 98, Grant Wistrom DRE Janet Salmon takes over as coach of the Cleveland Browns Mark Gamble takes over as coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers Alexander Coombe takes over as coach of the Philadelphia Eagles Mike Thorp-Potter takes over as coach of the Arizona Cardinals Paul De Kievit takes over as coach of the Minnesota Vikings 01 Browns sign FA 115 as 4, Phil Dawson at KK Browns coach OPS QB no 10, Kelly Holcomb QB Browns start no 86 at WR1 and 81 at WR3 Titans coach OPL QB no 7, Billy Volek QB Chiefs change no 80 to 83, Crapthonso Thorpe Redskins sign FA 112 as 84, Pat Johnson at WR4 Redskins start no 74 at C and 50 at LG Eagles change no 81 to 81, Terrel Owens Eagles start no 81 at WR1 and 80 at WR4 Cardinals sign FA 117 as 21, Renaldo Hill at NCB Cardinals coach DPL DB no 36, David Barrett RCB Cardinals start no 97 at NT and 98 at DLE Bears start no 78 at C and 57 at RT Bears start no 64 at RT and 57 at RG Rams coach DRO LB no 50, Pisa Tinoisamoa RILB 02 Browns coach OPL QB no 10, Kelly Holcomb QB Browns start no 60 at LT and 79 at RG Chiefs change no 44 to 22, Patrick Surtain Redskins waive no 4, Bryan Barker Eagles start no 80 at WR3 and 83 at WR4 Cardinals sign FA 129 as 81, Anquan Boldin at WR1 Cardinals coach ORO RB no 31, Marcel Shipp RB Cardinals start no 76 at RT and 75 at C Bears change no 80 to 87, Mushin Muhammad Bears start no 81 at WR3 and 87 at WR4 03 Browns start no 59 at ROLB and 52 at RILB Titans fix no 91, Albert Haynesworth Chiefs change no 71 to 69, Jared Allen Redskins coach DRO DB no 24, Champ Bailey RCB Redskins start no 26 at RCB and 24 at SS Eagles coach OQB OL no 71, Jermane Mayberry RG Cardinals coach DPS DB no 24, Adrian Wilson SS Cardinals start no 54 at ROLB and 57 at LILB Vikings fix no 94, Chuck Wiley 04 Browns waive no 17, Chris Gardocki Browns start no 81 at WR2 and 85 at WR3 Titans waive no 87, Tyrone Calico Chiefs change no 42 to 36, Alphonso Hodge Cardinals sign FA 115 as 41, Justin Lucas at LCB Cardinals coach OPL WR no 82, MarTay Jenkins WR4 Cardinals start no 66 at LT and 70 at LG Vikings fix no 55, Chris Claiborne 05 Patriots change no 63 to 71, Russ Hochstein Browns sign FA 108 as 37, Anthony Henry at LCB Chiefs change no 57 to 55, Derrick Johnson Broncos fix no 43, Izell Reese Cardinals waive no 34, Dexter Jackson Cardinals start no 82 at WR1 and 81 at WR4 Michael Chillari takes over as coach of the Oakland Raiders --Last edited by alex on 2005-07-02 04:01:48 --

Welcome Nick, glad to have another coach aboard. The Fins were taken about week 10 last season give or take, and had a great winning streak going by the time week 16 came around, had a very smart offseason, built a great all round roster but haven't lived up to my expectations yet. the action
from preseason makes me think they were there then. Dunno, guess you'll have to wait and see. you gave your preference as raiders, dolphins then NFC huh? --Last edited by mercianeagles on 2005-06-29 07:30:40 --

I'm guessing that I'll get the Packers, although I did also list the Cowboys as a team I'd like. Should I get Green Bay, then I'll have to decide whether to keep them there or relocate to Tampa...

If you get the Packers/Buccaneers you will get to play me in week 7 and Paul in week 16, if you get the cowboys the reverse is true. This week the Packers and Dolphins play, wouldn't that be funny if you got the pack and Nick got the Fins,

True, it would be an interesting coincidence though despite not actually putting in a gameplan for that week. I was living in horror of being unmasked for the first 4 weeks that the Eagles were on top of our div, nowthe word is out: I'm not a very good gameplan coach! But I am having enormous fun with the extra options in advanced and with the great chatter with the others in the league- so I'll be patient and wait for my team to be successful. In the meantime someone has to loose half the games ![]() 5-10 years ago I had to win to make up for the real eagles being poor, nowadays it is the other way around...

Haven't I lost to you already this season? |
| Alex admin Posts : 3314 ![]() |
Well, yes- but that was back when I was labouring under the misaprehension that I had a good team, when the Eagles were leading the league in rushing yards, or something, not 24th overall. After the Cowboy loss its back to the drawing board for my offensive coordinator, and McNabb. There is going to be a hard stretch for both of us in the middle of the season, I have to play the skins and panthers and skins, and you would play bears twice in a 3 game stretch i am guessing with someone good in the middle, like washington perhaps. I gotta get some offence sorted by then or am going to be making some teams look really good!

With all the hype that is AY, I'm thinking about giving Advanced another go.

You made my day! Its a great week to join, with Graham, Nick and Derrick already having sent team requests to Danny, Sam joining only last week and a couple of others mulling it over, namely Martyn Williams and Jon Gick. What a great time to be a head coach in the AY! PS I have sent you an email, suggesting you look here to find a list of teams, compare rosters then send your preferences to danny before the deadline this week on the 7th July. Jon Gick, who I hope will come here and join up soon, is planning to ask danny for the Cowboys this week. --Last edited by alex on 2005-07-05 11:15:41 --

Not sure what I'm going to do at the moment. If I decided to join up then I would want the Packers. I see maybe they are uncoached, but also see that a new coach has also enquired about Green Bay.

the Lions were also on my initial list of teams with few special actions lately, and it seems quite likely that Graham, who has already requested the packers as his first choice and I think dallas as the second, would be willing to move the team to tampa so you could move to Green Bay?

Maybe Graham could ask for the Lions and move them to Tampa which would leave the Pack. Maybe this would be easier than moving 2 franchises?

I think he was't crazy about the Lions roster, but I will email you both so you have eachother's email and you can do some convincing (assuming these teams are indeed uncoached)

Ok.....Having thought about my options and looked at the rosters, I've asked Danny for the Chargers as they are my second favourite team behind the Packers. I asked him if it were possible to move the Seahawks to San Diego. I also put down the Packers as my second choice simply because I had to make a second choice, knowing that Graham would be getting them anyway. The reply I got from Danny was.......ok, will sort out a team. From this, I'm assuming that I'm the head coach at San Diego (was Seattle).
