For better or worse the future of the 49ers is now tied to Coach Chillari.

Got any idea what goals you'll set yourself for your first year in frisco?
What you would be content with, and what would put you over the moon?

First year would be aiming for at least 6 wins. Not too high as 6 wins would show improvement from the current season and mean that we are close to challenging the season after. 7 or 8 wins would be pretty good but may be out of the question in such a tight league. Winning season may be way too much to ask for straight away but hoping to at least avoid 4th in the West and a top 5 draft pick again.

First offseason then season after will be mainly at fixing training and adjusting the gameplan to the roster.

If we make the playoffs in the first season then that would be a massive accomplishment.

Honestly think that it will take at least one season to get into the feel of this league and see how I perform against coached teams week in week out.

In my first year I set my aim at having a winning season, think I went 8-8 or 9-7. With no strong team in the div just missed out on the title with a week 16 loss to the boys who won the div with that game.
BUT the league's got tougher since then, but then again that was my very first season playing advanced, and only my 3rd gameplan team, with a break of about 5 years too, so I think you should have a good year.

Really looking forward to the turn arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to see the state of the roster. Don't know what the state of reductions and actual strength breakdowns are.

Will be interesting to see the level of LP's I have to start with and the training levels with the plays I like to use on offence and defence, not to mention the special teams training which always seems to be lacking on coachless teams.

Just hoping that the fact that the previous coach left recently that the training levels might be better then the usual when taking over a new team.

Might change my outlook on next season after I see the roster breakdown, LP's and once the offseason cull kicks in soon. Interesting and exciting times to be in San Francisco.

Most recent coach was only there for a few games, so perhaps didn't have time to spend any LPs, I don't pay much attention to special actions, you might be lucky and head into the offseason with LPs to burn and a high pick, maybe a 4 pointer then a 3 then a 2, could be a good start to a rebuild, good luck with the state fo the team when you touch-down in SF tonight/tomorrow.

Sam,  weekly reports show Martin Adamson taking over in week 9,
the 49ers fixed No.31 Zack Bronson and started No.50 at LOLB & No.55 at MLB in week 10, nothing since then.

Enjoy!

The record of the 49ers is poor yet the team appears to be in pretty good shape in terms of roster strengths and the training on offence and defence. Special teams training is non existant but that can be rectified over coming weeks to have it ready come the new season.

Some of the veteran 1 pointers will be given their marching orders soon as they are surplus to what I am looking for in the roster. The QB is a worry but might be forced to carry him into next season and draft a future franchise QB. With the strength of the O-line, two TE's and two stud runners will definitely lean towards a running game in coming weeks.

All around it is a decent team without any outstanding areas, but it still is a team that has potential to shine over coming seasons.
