I was wondering whether, if you realised you had made a complete foulup or if you simply had a desire to rewrite the gameplan, if you submitted a new turnsheet for a week that you had already submitted one for, would the second turnsheet override the first??

Has anyone ever attempted this or knows what would happen if one tried??

(A "friend of mine" may have done this recently).......

the second one you submit over-writes the first one, so make sure you have all the info on the turn sheet.

Also, you get charged for two submissions.  I think its 0.2 of a turn - I'll check up on that as I did this a few weeks back...

Thanks Graham, Presumably it only overwrites where you have made an entry. Where you have not made a change, I assume that the previous details are used as normal?

Good luck v Vikings!

Yeah, just like a normal turnsheet - what you dont want to change, just leave blank.

Saying that, I'm not sure what would happen if you were to make a change in the first turnsheet, then leave it blank in the second.  Presumably, it would disregard the action on the 1st....

It's supposed to discard the first set of orders and only process the second one but it's not always consistent.

In a case like this I would always resubmit and type in everything the second time just to be sure.

Nick had a bad experience in a Super Bowl recently where he did this and it didn't work as he expected.

Thanks guy's!

Second gameplan went through OK, leaving the details from the first gameplan that I did not alter the same.

Another thing, can you submit a normal turnsheet under week 17 and submit a draftsheet for week 17?

When submitting the draftsheet, do you put week 17 in the box or 1 for round of the draft? I have not used this facility post season before!

Last postseason the full turnsheet was not available postseason, just a standard 8 line affair plus sorting, which I thought was kinda cool, as in the playoffs teams dance with the girl what brung'em, but is a shame for those of us out of the running and in 'preseason mode'.

I assume it will be the same this year, if so I will miss the full rewrite over the next 4 or 5 weeks...

Due to work and social commitments and the dreaded Christmas post, I'm probably going to have to submit my turn online this week. Having never done this before in the post-season, I just wanted to know whether it was fairly straightforward or not. Do you get the turnsheet and draftsheet all on the same page or do you have to submit one and then go back in and submit the other?

Yeah mate it is all there on the one page, just keep scrolling down and filling it out, gameplan changes, free agent bids, special action draft picks and such, it couldn't be easier.

Quick question – are all those coaches currently involved in pre-season games still able to submit completely new gameplans, or are they also restricted to 8 lines?

I only ask because I was thinking of trying to merge my current gameplan with some of the ideas I got from Alan Horton’s NFL AR gameplan (a very handy thing to have!)  However, I think I can still only change 8 lines, so would have to implement my ideas during the only pre-season game, before heading for Atlanta in Week 1!  If I screw it up in the pre-season, then that leaves me with some frantic sorting to do before the season starts…

Only 8 lines until week 1 for everyone regardless of what game they are in, its the painfuil thing about joing up a new team in week 17 like I did last year, my offseason games were a shambles, then I changed every box for week 1.

http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/smile.gif Fully agree with that! No offence to the previous Jets coach, but I don't think I really learned much from his plan at all. I really didn't like it and re-wrote it completely for my first game. Would've been great to have picked up a plan from a legend like Smug or Norm!

Too right!  My defence is my weak point but I have a complete plan from Alan’s Giants that I can refer too.  Its quite different from the ideas I got from Nick, so hopefully I can use both & create a great D plan!  http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/smile.gif  http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/football.gif

I can use the O plan to tweak the one I already use.  Some similarities there, but also some interesting play combinations that would work well for me.  http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/thumb%20up.gif

Just a pity I only have one game to try them!!  http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/mad.gif  http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/blue.gif

Maybe while you are at it you should call alan each week so he can tell you what plays to train and bonuses to use...

I would like to have inherrited a funky advanced gameplan when I arrived in Philly, but the one in place was EXACTLY like a basic gameplan's paramaters except it had a separate 3rd down short yardage, and maybe 2 different hurry ups. It didn't even use all the lines!
The D was pretty inane by my reconning too.

back on topic, I must relay a recent experience where I entered a lot of changes at softsim for the wrong team, when I later entered the correct instructions for that team the first set of instructions remained where they were not overwriten by the second set of instructions.
so bear this in mind when adding a second set of instructions!
also it did cost me 0.1 credit for submitting 2 instructions.

l know how this can happen, having been a GM and used the system to process the turnsheets off the website. l won't go into the details of how and why. The moral of the story is this, make sure you double check you are entering the orders for the write team, l face three teams NFLc NFLAR NFLAY so l double check l am infact clicking the write one, l double check l am entering the correct week the week that appears on the blank turnsheet. Then l am regularly clicking into a blank or empty field to ensure l never get timed out, plus my gameplan is always fully ready and easy to read in an A4 book so typing it in is simple and easy. l have never had a problem, not saying l might never but so far l am 100% with this method.
