Hi folks, I revived an old Yahoo discussion HERE about 32 team leagues the other day, when I realised some games are being played with yearly upfront payments rather than constantly topping up credits. I thought this signals to the company ones dedication to stay in a league/game for a moderate term and wondered if such a comitment league wide would enable the time and money to be spent on things being changed for that league, such as the time that would be required to start a brand new league from scratch, with people drafting their team from a pool of available players (I believe this is how they all started? but haven't seen it happen) or the time and money required to create a league with 32 teams. A couple of people have told me they thought it was a brilliant ideaa nd they would be willing to do it. So I'm seeking more input here too. ![]()

I think the only "problem " that would be fixed with a new league would be the reduction of S DP. All my other gripes would still remain. There would be other "issues" to deal with as some plays go crazy with small rosters. There would be endless debates about how to stop the screen I am sure. With a new league you start with a squad of 20 points that you can choose from a set draft sheet of about a hundred players. Every one has the same draft sheet but most players have 2 or 3 strengths so you cannot hand pick the exact skills you want. Vic Pretotto was very good at knowing what all the hidden skills were and no doubt he benefited from this many times over.

I would welcome the opportunity to be involved in a new advanced 32 team format with the divisions matching the real NFL. It has been a long time (1989?) since I experienced a league starting from scratch! If enough of us that are proven, dedicated Gameplanners petitioned Danny, who knows, he might be able to generate a new league?

l'd be in, no worries, l am looking for a fourth team in the next few months. lt's either a new one or the NFLa l think it is which looks to be a good one. l think a disease has hit coaches about the game being stuffed, l think l will prove this season that in fact there is nothing wrong with the game, but it's the coaches that have lacked imagination. AR Jags for the bowl put your pamela anderson poster on it.

would have no problems signing up for a season in a 32 team league, as long as the teams are aligned in the current nfl structure. seems pointless to have nfl teams and divisions when they are seriously becoming outdated. wouldn't mind if it was a current league or a league starting from scratch but have to admit that starting from scratch could be real interesting. would definitely drop out of some other leagues to make time but would be in it the new league for the long haul though.
