What a fantastic week for a Southend and Spurs fan! I didn't think it could get any better than Spurs beating Chelsea in the league for the first time in donkey's years, but Southend knocking the mighty Manchester Utd out of the Cup last night in our first ever meeting just takes the biscuit! OK - it wasn't exactly Man U's first-choice team, but they had Rooney and Ronaldo on the pitch and most of the others have been in the first team on and off this season. We now have a 100% record against Man U in competitive games!  
Hopefully this will give us the impetus we need to drag ourselves off the bottom of the Championship table, but even if we get relegated, we'll still remember the year we beat United!

I'm just hoping the mighty Vale can ruin this week for Spurs with a great cup upset at The Lane!!  The realist in me can't see it happening but you just never know

Hard luck, Ian! TBH I'd have accepted losing to Vale (again!) as a trade-off for finally beating Chelsea, but it's nice to keep our winning streak going. Now I just hope my two teams avoid each other in the draw and I can look forward to a classic Southend-Spurs final!!
