Does anyone use any good software on their PC to actually copy DVDs?

Its a fairly arduous task from what I've seen.
There's a program called DVD Shrink, I don't recall if it will actually put it in a form to brun to another disk or if its just to put a DVD on your hard drive for viewing on your PC.

Norm,
Just to add to the mix...I use Nero 7 for DVD burning as well as DVD shrink. If you have dsl internet connection (broadband) i'd also suggest p2p applications such as limewire and morpheus. This would be like sharing your files in a specific area on your hard disk with other users around the globe and both are free....if you need any more info on these then let me know.

FTR Sharing is nice, but often will be breaking copyright licences agreements and such, so you need to be careful lest you end up doing something illegal.

And if using a peertopeer sharing program you need to be careful of your PC's safety, so that the file you are DLing straigt of some bozo's HDD isn't actually a trojan, virus worm etc

Very true....if someone has an always on connection though would it not be safe to assume that they have anti-virus/anti-spy etc. SW already installed.......personally I like AVG from grisoft (again free) and have downloaded many a trojan in my time but this guy will always IMO nab-em.
