I do want to give it a go one day, perhaps late this year might be a good time for me, or when my stint at the C dolphins ends one day. good idea though...

you can count me in as interested also. would also love to have a go in the college version but not until much later in the year. signed up in the NFLC for another 5 months so won't be before then and I am staying in the GB for the long haul.

Ok, so at the moment I have the following showing some sort of interest: • Myself (obviously) • Alan Milnes (if there was a long term commitment from a good number of coaches) • Gordon Milnes (same as Alan - though not confirmed) • Alex (later in year) • Sam (same as Alex) • Greg (same as Sam) • Martyn (maybe, depending on numbers & how many teams he has at the time) That would be more than half the league full already! Perhaps it would be better to stir up more interest round about the time when the new college season starts, but 7 / 12 aint bad so far.

I think the general opinion is people would be interested, but not for a while yet. As I said, maybe people will consider it more when the college season kicks off again – or if / when I make up a sample newsletter & post it on the web for people to view.

I'll see how I go this season in the C, with Dave. After a while he might want his team back, or even to co-coach again in your college league (although he just dropped out of college league to join C IIRC...) Poke me again at the end of the year, who knows by then I might have my thesis finished and several papers published or even GASP a real job!

BUMP! Would anyone here be interested in joining Gameplan’s only advanced college league? It's quite different from the pro GP, as you don’t have to deal with reductions, CFAs or step losses. Instead, you only have your players for 4 seasons & have a much thinner squads, meaning more parity & lots of styles of play – not just 4 WR sets (yes, I know I’m a culprit myself!) I’m not as technically gifted as Alex & Mike, but I’d give it a go trying to set-up an A5 website & offer the same kind of enjoyment as you get from AY & C. If I cant suss out the website, then I’d go ‘old skool’, & run a newsletter for the league. Obviously Danny wont tell me if anyone in the league is coached, but if we could get a group of 6-8 guys to start with, I’m sure we could attract more into the league. I personally have an ‘emotional’ attachment to the league, having taken GP’s worst college side (think it was almost 40 games without a win), to their first ever triumph. I didn’t even mind that I got battered by some coaches (thanks Alan & Gordon ), it was all about getting that first W! Anyway, if anyone has an interest, then let me know. Once I have a solid amount of interest, I’ll get the ball rolling. Will be looking out the ‘idiots guide to creating websites’ book I think!!

Hi Beats, I would be interested in joining fr sure. i prefer the basic for college but did play in the A5 for the first season with Georgia. Are they still uncoached? BTW beats, are you still doing raceplan? A mate has joined up in your league in the RP4. Fles

TBH, I’ve been out of the league for almost a year now. I do know that I was the last remaining coach when I left & I’m not aware of anyone else having joined the league. Saying that though, there has been a declining amount of posts on the yahoo site of late, so its possible that someone may be there. I asked Danny but he wouldn't tell me if anyone was in the league. At least someone has shown some interest though, thats a good start. Nah, I left RP4 two weeks ago. I was unsure about how many of the teams were actually human controlled, so transferred my credits to the NCAA7 league. TBH, my team was having a crap season anyway, as I took in two young drivers & tried to spend all my cash on upgrading my car. Although I got in the points quite often, I never got the hang of qualifying etc & would always be relying on drivers dropping out of the races. It’s a shame, as the year before I had the former world champ & he won me quite a few races. Another downside is that there is no forum or anything for Raceplan, so it’s virtually impossible to discuss the races & maybe learn from other coaches. I’d offered to do a newsie for the league, but was told it was pretty much pointless due to the lack of interaction between team owners. Maybe we should ask Danny to set-up a new league for AY coaches only!

i have over the past 6 months cut my stable of games back to a more managabl level, but am missing the college game. will be good to get back into it. what is the A7 like and who is in it?

A7 is good, just a shame there ain't a newsie anymore cuz i read the old ones & they were v good! at the moment, this is how the standings are: 6-1 Miami Hurricanes (Will Smith) 6-1 Akron Zips (Alan Milnes) 6-1 Louisville Cardinals (me) 5-2 New Mexico Lobos (Martyn Williams) 5-2 Stanford Cardinal (Rob Crowther) 5-2 Kansas State Wildcats (Ray Gillham) 4-3 Nebraska Cornhuskers (Dominic Williams) 1-5-1 LSU Tigers (Jay Lutwyche) 1-5-1 Wisconsin Badgers (Andy Starkey) 1-6 Auburn Tigers (Dave Marsdin) 1-6 Syracuse Orangemen (Dave Colquitt) 0-7 Colorado Buffaloes (Peter Kneil) I reckon those in bold are currently coached. I'm not sure about the others.
