Guys, I'm still away but I'm interested in finding an alternate week league to the AY. I could well be back in the AY but a fortnight is too long. Which leagues around are reasonably active? Any type: Basic, advanced or college.

Well, the obvious answer would be C which runs next Wednesday and has its own forum on these pages (see next forum down!). The Vikings and Packers (or Buccs if you like) are free if you wanted to give me and Alan Horton a bit more of a challenge!

AY and C are perfect partners, though I don't pay much attention to the C, its nice to have a game in the off week to keep me a little entertained. Dave and I are in Miami FYI.

If you are looking for a college league, the A7 is a must! We have about 8 or 9 of the 12 teams currently coached & it’s a very challenging league.  I also do a newsletter for the league – you can find the latest edition here: http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/gameplan/files/Latest%20Newsletters/NCAA7/

The league next runs on Thursday 17th May & it is a basic league.

If you’re interested, then let me know & I’ll give you an idea of who is free & what their roster looks like.

Thanks gents. I am keen on both of them. I've never played college before so that could be interesting. Is there a list like the one Mike put together of the coaches there?

Thanks Mike for the C list. Nice set of coaches there and is very tempting. Not too many of the available teams scream at me since I'd prefer to get out of the NFC Central but there are about three divisions there I could fill and have some interesting matchups.#

I'm not going to join either untill I get back but I think I will join one in about 8 weeks.

Would be great to get yet another coach in A7, it's a fantastic league and very close to my heart having been at the Lobos since day 1!

Current coaches and standings

New Mexico Lobos (Martyn Williams) 7 0 0 266 163 W9
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (Dave Flesfader) 6 1 0 276 219 W3
Miami Hurricanes (Will Smith) 5 1 1 326 157 L1
Louisville Cardinals (Graham Beaton) 5 2 0 259 183 L1
Stanford Cardinal (Rob Crowther) 4 3 0 261 164 L2
Nebraska Cornhuskers (Dominic Williams) 3 4 0 186 174 W1
Michigan Wolverines (G.Salmon & M.T-Potter) 3 4 0 200 222 W2
Akron Zips (Alan Milnes) 2 4 1 270 245 L1
Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Sam Chillari) 2 5 0 149 220 W1
Lsu Tigers (Jay Lutwyche) 2 5 0 161 253 L1
Kansas State Wildcats (Ray Gillham) 1 6 0 178 283 L4
Auburn Tigers (Dave Marsdin) 1 6 0 75 324 W1

Of those I think the free teams are the Zips, Tigers x 2 and Wildcats. College is a different challenge to Pro GP, personally I love it but that maybe becuase I've had so much success with it, LOL! Any questions about A7 or college Gp in general just ask!
