Gameplan Update You should find a Version 2.17 - Rules Update 3 enclosed, or it can be downloaded from www.pbmsports.com
There are two software changes now in place. First of all conditional waivers are now allowed during the regular season, although
you should note that conditional waivers are not cancelled until mini-camp, so anything you set during the regular season carries
into the following draft. We don't expect there to be much use of these, but the option is there if you want it.
The second affects the FA action. The action now produces only rookies instead of veterans, and is limited to players of value 1
or 2 only. It's only allowed in the camps and the regular season. With the introduction of conditional free agents there are now
plenty of high value veterans being released by other teams, so there's no longer a need for the FA action to produce extra ones.
Instead of being removed entirely it's changed to produce players it's reasonable to assume may have been overlooked in the draft.

what do you guys think?

I'm not exactly thrilled about this either - especially as my AR team could have used a few created vet DBs!!

Good change in my opinion - these players are supposed to be the stars.  There's plenty of guys who aren't drafted who make it but not 28 or 30 year olds!

AR - Eagles
BC - Steelers
A  - Jets

For realism I'd agree Alan, when a star player goes down int he NFL the GM can't manufacture a 3 or 4 point replacement, he has to comb through the journey men and undrafted rookies to find a substitute...

suffer in your jocks Norm!

I love the new changes. Agree that it is far more realistic.

Don't worry about not being able to create veteran free agents, norm. The way the cull treated my raiders, some of my vets will be hitting the free agent market.

I think the new rules are far better and realistic. I never created vet free agents anyway - just signed other people's to p*ss them off - LOL!

I did exactly the same thing recently, someone made a 3poit OL just as I was about to make one so I bid 32 points got him for less than it would have cost me and best thing is it left me with 15 points left instead of 14 (having saved that point) so I could fix him the next week and take me up by 1ORI ORO OQB and help that running game of mine win me a few games at the end there!
