I can vouch for his bona vides - he just spanked me to the tune of 41-22 in the AR. The funny thing is that I didn't think that I played that badly!

SInce this was Danny's first week I expect you played the previous coach's Superbowl winning gameplan, but with this year's squad and training.

Week 1 should see a new Slavin gameplan, having not played with Danny before I don't know what to expect although just quietly I sure hope it will be something different than S DR SO DS SL S on 1st and second down, D FI on third down and I RC RN R on short yardage...

The loss of three coaches from the NFC West last year had left it looking pretty bare compared to the rest of the league, but this appointment has certainly gone a long way to redressing the balance. Might be difficult to tempt any more coaches into a division with Horton and Slavin in it though!


Anyway, a warm welcome to you Dan and I look forward to a titanic struggle between the Panthers and the Falcons this season.

Should be an interesting first game for you Danny against the Cowboys, rarely feared but also very rarely out of touch in a game.

nicks game in the bowl wasn't like that at all in fact he didn't call FI DS RN or RC at all in the whole game and it proved to me that nick actually was brilliant at this game and didn't just set up an automatic unchanged gameplan i was glad to play him a couple of times before his retirement to see this and from my point of view he will be missed as he was also quick to offer help to those that were struggling for ideas anyway will look forward to week 12 to lock horns with you danny as i am for week 12 in the nflc with chris hatfield 2 coaches i havn't played with big reps
