Shouldn't be too hard Norm, there is probably an option to sign up with Yahoo at tthe top of the screen.
This will give you a yahoo email address too.

I think that Alex is probably right.

I haven't received an application for membership of the group, so you won't have been banned. So long as we can recognise it's you you'll be straight in.
