The pre season brought more joy to the long suffering Jags faithful, as loyal to their team as Borat is to Pamie.

A team which has been the brunt of weekly jokes and in fact the laughing stock of the league. The team they said which was back in the 1940's has posted it's longest winning streak during the pre-season undefeated.

With new co head coach on board Greg "grindit" Salmon the offence was able to post an offence high score of 23 points 250 yards on the ground behind 9 year veteran full back Fredie Taylor and 100+ yards in the air. With only about 10% of his offence in play the team offence looks to be moving the football better than ever. The 1940's offence has finally come into play and it looks like the 2007 defences of AR are going to be in for a real headache as this pack of wild dogs take the field. This offence plays like a defence, the receivers are blockers, Co Head coach Salmon has a new philosophy with his wide outs you block first at all cost and then release to catch. The Jags wide outs hit defenders like linebackers and boy it made a difference today.

lf the offence is from the 1940's then the defence is from the 1930's and the new and improved stormin defence system took the field today. lf the offence are wild dogs this defence unit are a pack of wild animals. Only allowing the Bears 7 points, 95 yards in the air and 70 yards on the ground, only 9 first downs, a 1 of 10 third down conversion, and 8 punts the bears had no where to run and no where to hide. This defence is going to be feared all season long, with the Bears moving to the AR favoured "S" and "I"
the defence using the new stormin system defence, which has had much discussion with all coaches wondering what it's secrets are it again showed how it dominates the run and shoot "salad tossers". With one more bad knee to fix this week 10 year old defensive linemen Emarlos Leroy has been complaining of tension in his joints, but head nurse Pamela Anderson is set to go to work on those joints to provide Leroy with some much needed tension release. With Leroy back fully fit next week this defence gets a much needed boost to make it even stronger for the first real test of the team yet when the Indy Colts of Danny Slavin come to the Jags and it's already a sell out. May god be with you  Danny because the stadium won't be.

Other pre-season results Tom Richards Jets took a beating from the superbowl champion Giants 17-35, Tom looks like his "honeymoon is over baby, it's never gonna be that way again" the cruel sea.

Mike Parr's Miami got a pasteing 54-17 against the Cards of Conrad  Whittingham, l might mention the jags beat the Cards, again showing the strength of the stormin system defence. Mike looks to be needing some real worth before week 1 in a tough divison.

Mike Thorp-Potter 16-3 wins his Steelers takedown the Vikings of Gordon Miles sending warning signals to the rest of the league that the Steelers might in fact be the real deal this season. They will need to be comfortable with second in the division of death "DOD" because the Jags are taking it down as the new pack leader.

Martyn Williams Browns go down into the dawg house losing to Mike George Packers 31-24, again a team the Jags beat easy in pre-season, giving more strength to the Jags claims early of pack leader in the DOD. The browns will need to be improving out of sight if they think they can over take the Jags, this season these big cats bite.

A truly monster season ahead especially for the long suffering Jags fans.

OK, so I lost 54-31 in my preseason game, but it should give me the kick in the pants I've needed in AR...I haven't really bothered changing my GP for the last 5 or 6 weeks...I was actually starting to lose interest, but now I definitely have something to prove...I start the season against Chris Hatfield, then play Danny Slavin, and then AFC champ Marc Bradbrook, so if I can't get fired up for those games, I may as well quit!  Bring it on!

Norman, I don't normally get too fussed about pre-season results. Any clown can look good in March, but September is when it really counts. He was the Superbowl champ so was no slouch either. I've pencilled in week 9 as a week to look at making sure I have dotted all my "i"s and crossed all my "t"s.

I woudn't have picked you to be this pragmatic Tom, I thought like Norm you'd be whacko to get every win- regardless of the week number!

Mike, l am so pleased l have fired you up, because the East is a hell whole it's a tough division. Go get em.
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/salut.gif

Tom, you have been hiding of late, l hope everything is ok, l guess you must be wondering where the points are going to come from against the stormin defence system, l don't blame you. The days of spear chucking and winning are over.
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/rofl.gif

l'm sure if you tell Ed and Vic that the spear chuckers can now be beaten l'm sure they will one day consider a return l'd love to wack the buckles and Vic as well.

l am really looking forward to following the fortunes of the Richards teams in this new era of defences out there at least in the AY. l'm not sure the AR boys can stop their own offences so they just all follow the leader. The leader has flown the coop and left the sheep knee high in Store High In Transit.
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/rofl.gif

l try and win every game, just the way l am, l'd say all my teams will now be super competitive since the new  stormin defence system has arrived.
http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/devil.gif

l look forward to seeing the rabbit coming out of your hat.

Happy planning, see you on the battle field.

Well, it's now done and dusted.  The post Nick Sims Steelers gameplan has been submitted for Week 1.

Now will have to wait and see just how sucessful they will be under the tutelage of Coach Thorp-Potter!!

Will be looking forward to the divisional clashes with Team Goetz/Salmon with relish!

Mike, like wise two times a season we lock horns should be some great battles in there, again must say l am very glad you totally took out the Nick Sims gameplan, now unlike Robin Hood and the ledger don't take it out of the fire, leave in there and burn it for good.

Norm, I might just keep it in ice, if I find myself 0-8 I may just need to resurrect it!
