Tom, nice write up, l was hoping you would get in first to stick the boots in. l better leave the offence performance and press conference up to offensive coordinator Greg Salmon. As for the defence, l was happy with the pass actually, 222 yards is not a real worry, against a salad tosser, l think most of that came from the fact that the run blew out a bit too much, which in turn makes passing yards a bit easier to get, once those safeties come down to help with the run it opens the pass. With no long TD's, and 25 yards being the longest pass, plus very very low DP yards, in fact DP was a non event, l was very happy with the pass defence. The run was kind of expected if you saw our roster, but we will address part of that next week, and then part two shortly after that. So no panic yet, remember my NFLc Colts have the number 1 run defence which makes holding the run out of S and D much much easier, the Jags are not quite at that level but if we are in the hunt by week 10 we can still give it a shake. Tom, remember we are in this league and team and in fact gameplan for the long long long haul, we are not folding like other wimps. This is what it's all about, you know that, you have back bone unlike many many others who will remain nameless. l enjoy all the challenges gameplan offers, win, lose or draw. As for the Jets, if you are happy with that performance then l am happy for you. Bills seem to make a real habbit of drawing week 1 last season they drew with the Jags. Hard to know where both teams are. Chiefs roll on, yeah l think Hatfield vs Richards is always a media story, which makes those divisional games very good value. Miami Mike, 380 yards in the air is pretty impressive, l think Mike can get the fins into shape, but that is l'd say the hardest division in the AR, so Mike will need to really put in over the season. Steelers Mike Thorp-Potter, looks like he will be a real force, the Horses are AFC champions going down up 4 points is a great result and must give the curtain faithful much hope for the season. Martyn Williams Browns, what can anyone say about them? l just had a look at them, roster wise as the Jags play them week 2. l can see why Martyn is frustrated, that roster looks totally unstoppable, l'd say the browns should make the AFC championship game at least. l might stick to the AFC write ups, l don't really look at the NFC and l don't think any of them post here, or visit here, so l might leave the NFC to someone who follows it closer than me. All in all a fasinating start to a new season, best of luck to all coaches.

it was a loss first up in a competitive game for the co coaches but after instilling a completely new offence into place in jacksonville there were a lot of possitives to be taken from it the failing to fire won't get caught by the same trap twice i can assure you while the big plus was that the only time they turned the ball over was on the last play of the game in a DL WC situation so that boded well for the future no easy games here and am still hopeful for the division crown yet but will take 1 game at a time
