Martyn, week 2 Jags vs Browns gameplan has just entered the softsim vault. Another massive game for the Jags, a disappointing start for the Jags faithful, but we should preform a lot better this week, a tweak here and there, a boost to the roster as well.
Jags in the upset of the week by 3.
l still think if we are in the hunt or close enough to the hunt by week 9 or 10 we can give it a shake.
Martyn, if you want a SKYPE live reading via headsets only at this stage l would be happy to have one. Greg lives in Perth which is 2 hours behind me in Melbourne and you are in the UK so we would need to come up with a time that suits all of us. l am probably the most flexible at this stage. lf you and Greg can work out a time that suits you guys l can just fall into place. lt would be a brilliant game to have a three way headset hookup with SKYPE and read the game via GPvcon.
l am guessing you have skype, it's an easy download my skype username is "zzeds_dead" just drop me a request to accept your details and we are ready to rumble. Same with you Greg, it's free skype to skype totally.
Those of you interested in the AR the latest pre-season bumper issue of the AR publication "Turnover" is out now a free download at yahoo. A big give it up to Alan Milnes and his band of merry men for another brilliant effort much appreciated.
Week 2 fixtures...
Bills at Jets sees Alan Baylis big bad Buffalo Bills travel to the Big Apple where Tom Richards New York Jets are looking to dance, dodge, weave their way to another win. The Bills are a much harder test that the Jets week 1 Bengals. Bills by 10.
Dolphins at Colts sees Mike Parr vs Danny Slavin, another big test for Parr, but unlike some pundits, results from other leagues do show a coaches ability and Parr has ability in spades. Slavin has been guiding his roster for years and l think that is the key to success, it's no surprise that successful coaches come back season after season, draft and maintain their rosters during the critical draft. The only test here is if the Miami roster is up to it, the coach certainly is. Home field might be a little hard to over come, Colts by 10.
Raiders at Chiefs, from what l have read the Chiefs are up against easy pickings, Chris Hatfield has a great record in this league. Again his roster has been constantly worked through draft after draft the raiders don't have that luxury and this will be Chiefs by how far, at least 3 TD's.
Bengals at Steelers, Stones vs Mike Thorp-Potter, by all accounts this is a one horse race and the Cincy roster is in damage control. The steel curtain will bounce back this week by 10.
Broncos at Chargers, Marc Bradbrook vs Paul Gorner, this is my pick for match of the round. l toss a coin here, maybe home field will give the Bolts an edge, still say DRAW.
l left the door open for someone to step up as the NFC reporter but no takers. l will give it another try, anyone from the NFC interested feel free to show me the money...
Best of luck to all coaches in Week 2.
