Good to see a few upsets this week. First we travel to Miami to see the cellar dwellar Dolphins resurect their season with a 20-0 win over the Goetz/Salmon Jags. Mike Parr has upped the ante in the AFC East and the bottom 3 teams have only 1/2 a game between them! This leads to a big question mark over the previously unbeaten Bills. They lost to the uncoached Bengals who chalk up their first win to go 1-3. The clue is that they have a zero point spread of "for vs against". Underestimate them at your peril. The Colts remain unbeaten at 4-0 delivering a 33-14 spanking to the Raiders. Slavin's Colts are the real deal and smell like playoffs to me. Next week they have the opportunity to secure the division hosting the Jets on their own turf. The scorers are going to have to work overtime as Indy have averaged 39 points a week so far on offense and only 10 points against. The Jets stay in touch with a ten point win over the luckless Broncos, 16-6. Denver are definetely suffering a Superbowl hangover and need to regroup quickly to remain in contention. The Chargers post their 3rd win with a solid showing over Pitt. 31-17. MT-P gets another big test on the road in Cleveland next week. The Chargers get a shot at the Division title next week as they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the unbeaten Chiefs. Last but not least the match of the round was Chiefs at the Browns. Chris' Chiefs punished the Browns 42-17 to mark their territory and let every one know who is the best side in the AFC. Martyn's offense coughed the ball up 3 times while the Chiefs played error free football to record an easy win. --Last edited by tom richards on 2007-08-02 20:42:38 --

An easy win? Hmm, that's a matter of opinion! Never before have I dominated the stats so much and still had my butt kicked, lol! Great punting by KC + a couple of awful turnovers by my Browns and having to settle for a FG rather than a TD at 35-14 down did for me. However, looking on the brightside I'd like to think if we played again it'd be a darn sight closer and I didn't have much trouble moving the ball against a strong KC side. Looking at where the majority of KC's passing yards came from is a tad annoying but more often than not I benefit from that so I guess that is just sour grapes on my part, lol! Glad to get the FA DB, if I don't get to the Champ game now with this squad I need shooting tbh, and come week 10 I'll have enough LPs to add another FA or fix a key vet. If only I can somehow avoid the Colts, Chiefs and Chargers on the way... ;o)
