Could active GB coaches post league info here for people who would like to join?

Firstly,

THIS IS A BASIC LEAGUE RUN OUT OF AUS WITH NORMAN GOETZ THE GM WITH THE DEADLINE BEING THE SAME WEEK AS THE AY AND GA

As far as I know the NFC east is full. With the Salmons just recently joining, assuming that the skins are taken. I have the Cowboys.

The NFC Central has the Vikings and the Bears taken. With the Bears being current champions. The other two teams are the Lions and Packers. Neither has done any actions this year.

The NFC West has the Rams, 49ers, Saints and Falcons. Have not seen many actions in this devision other then the 49ers signing a FA early this season.

As for the AFC;
The East will soon have the return of Fles at the Dolphins. Other teams are the Jets, Pats and Bills. None of these teams have made any actions this year and appear to be using the same gameplans.

The Central has the Ravens, Steelers, Bengals and Titans. The titans had a special action earlier in the season for fixing a player and the Bengals signed a FA recently. The other two teams are unknowns. However, I am assuming that the Ravens are coached as they are 5-0.

The West has the Seahawks, Chiefs, Raiders and Broncos. The Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders have all been into special actions so assuming that they are still coached. Seahawks are an unknown.

only just joined and know the redskins are coached as they were not an option when selected

You would be warmly welcomed into the GB if you decide to join. As you can see, there are currently 4 coaches from the AY in this league and you would be a great addition to the coaching ranks.


Now if all we could do is to convince the legendary Coach GOZ into the GB...

not a bad team either with 8 squad in both ORI and ORO

Pity about janet leaving Fish, she looked the goods at Philly.  She didn't enjoy the coaching caper?

just took up too much time which she would rather be doing other things

she liked the idea of it but started finding it a chore to sort out as we are usually quite busy on weekends and she works days and me afternoons during the week

Sam, any chance you could do a brief GB roundup, I know i am pushing my luck! lol

not sure if i will stay after the 9 credits run out prefer the advanced and 3 teams seems a bit too much

but who knows still have 9 rounds to see and if my rookie 4* FB was to get a step gain

would have to come back and play him against sam

I hope you do stay on Fish, you are an important part to the league jigsaw!  i am here for the long haul, try and strengthen the league  like the AY and GA.  I like basic, its certainly a lot more low key than the advanced, find it a bit more relaxing! lol

Don't even think about leaving, otherwise you will be bombarded by constant things such as....

Finally get someone in the east that I can really start up a rivalry with and you are already talking about leaving.


I am in it through to next season and might be in it for quite some time yet, have really grown accustomed to my cowboys team.

Hi guys,

I've just finished 16-0 with my NFLBP Rams, so have decided to call it a day once my play off stint is over. I've been to the last 5 Super Bowls, winning 3, so finishing unbeaten was all that was left for me to achieve. Why am I telling you all this? Becuase I'm going to join GB instead (even though it runs the opposite week, which isn't ideal...)



Can someone give me an updated run down on the state of play in the league, what the possible coachless teams are? Rams will be my first choice, but I would rather take over a poor team than one with a shot at the playoffs.

      would be great to have you onboard in the GB!  Sam is probably your man for the best idea of what teams are free or not, i have only been back about 6 games or so after a few years away.  The NFC is definately the stronger div, so would probably be better if you were in the AFC with me, it could do with some strengthening. good time to be joining with week 13 coming, nice and close to the draft. Buts Sam is the man for more info.  All the best Martyn.

There would be numerous positions available due to the lack of actions. Only team I can guarrantee having no coach are the eagles. Would love to have you up against Greg and I in the east.

as for the Rams, there is a good chance they could be without a coach. can't remember the last time they had an action. Lots of teams in the GB that don't seem to be doing much. Would have to say that if you chose 5 teams that you really wanted there would be an ecxellent chance of getting one. Being an old aussie basic league good chance that there would be numerous places open. We are coming into wk13 so be quick to get in for the playoffs. if you want further info re rosters, current standings will be happy to post for you....and hopefully some others from the ay thay may want to join

The GB is an improving league, but as Sam said there are a few vacancies.  The league probably is not a lot different to what they AY was a year and a half ago, so it is on the rise.  If you are looking for advanced action, the GA can't be beat for variety and fun.
