Greg,
have to admit that was the strangest game I have been in for a while.

All the scoring in the first quarter originated from big defensive plays. Your HB fumbles and two plays I score, your QB throws an intercept, next play I score. My QB fumbles and your defence runs it in for a score.

Then early in the second quarter your HB fumbles and my defence runs it in for a score. Then later in the same quarter my FB fumbles and 4 plays later you score.

Have to admit when I was up 28-14 was not convinced we had it won. You proved it by marching 70+ yards for a TD, then I miss a 41 yd FG and leave you 3mins+ to get level. Thankfully my pass defence held when it counted (unlike the rest of the game giving up 300+ yards.

If it hadn't have been for my defence getting those key turnovers then it definitely would have been a different result. Hope you don't move to Cleveland. Would love to have you stay in the East, you definitely would challenge for the title next year and give my cowboys a run for their money.

Fles,
Another week and another win. 11-3 and now looking at that number 1 seed in the AFC. Tied with the Ravens and might actually go to for and against who gets the number 1 seed.

Martyn,
First week in charge of the Rams coming up. Do we go for a win or do we try and secure the number 1 draft pick and possibly a future franchise QB??? I know that next season the Rams will be back to take the West title and challenge for the superbowl. NFC definitely getting harder.

I never play to lose, but I think it would be fair to say I won't be trying too hard to win. As a general rule I don't change anything about the gameplan when I take over a team this late in the season, I've nothing to gain and so it's a bit ungentlemanly I think on my opponents. So I'll either leave the gameplan as is, or I'll change it to boost my training. I won't put in a daft GP to ensure I get that number 1 pick, I'm guaranteed pick 1 or 2 anyway, that's good enough for me, I can get a scrambling QB from that. What I will concentrate on is maximising training and squad management. How I fare next year depends a lot on what happens at QB for me in the offseason...

Cheers,

Martyn

The Dallas/Arizona game did seem intriguing.  Was surprised to see the Cards go so heavy in the air vs the tough cowboy defence, but they came through with all those turnovers.  Well congrats are in order Sam for a well earnt division victory, how many does it make it now?  lets hope Janet's old side can work some magic over Chicago next week, and you will be in the box seat for the number 1 seed.
Martyn's Rams do indeed look like no.1 draft pick will be theirs, which could be frightening for the future!  http://www.users.on.net/~acoombe/frazzled.gif

Well another workmanlike effort by the Fins.  All 9 Bills points were off their defence's back, something that we won't want to be doing come playoff time. HB Ricky Williams is having a bumper season and seems to be getting stronger as the season goes on. Having said that our defence has really come on leaps and bounds, and is shaping as a crucial piece of the puzzle for us.  Am hoping our new pickup will certainly give us more beef in the secondary. The last few games are still obviously huge for us, with only a few points sperating Miami and Baltimore from that first seed, so there will be no going easy.

Make it 3 division titles in the last 4 seasons. Means nothing though as each season has finished with a one and done in the playoffs.

Don't care about the number 1 seed at the moment. Would trade it if it meant a decent run in the playoffs...and possibly a cowboys v dolphins superbowl.
