tough match again. Wasn't looking good with my offence struggling to gain momentum. Martyn's Rams only held a slight lead of 7-0 and I had no idea where the points were going to come from and was actually thinking that my defence would have to score the points. Thankfully the offence was able to get 3 FG's and our defence held the Rams scoreless for the remainder of the game to squeeze out a 9-7 win. Good that my defence was able to hold the Rams to 7 points but the strength of the Rams defence showed by holding my offence without a TD. Thankfully the 3 Fg's were enough to progress. Not a convincing win but will take any win I can against opposition such as Martyn's Rams.

Well done to Greg's Cards for walking into the tough matchup at the  Bears and walking out with the win. Great result for Greg and now sets up an NFC East matchup in the Conference game. Even though my Cowboys have won both matchups this season, this victory over the Bears shows how dangerous the Cards can be. I was spanked by the Bears in the regular season and will need to be on my game to make it to the Bowl game again.

As predicted the Dolphins had no trouble with the Ravens and look bound to appear in the Bowl game. Well done to Dave and hopefully  the Dolphins continue to the Bowl game as would be great for two coached teams to be in the Bowl game. Whether it is against Greg or myself, it will definitely be a great game.

Well the Rams and Cowboys game didn't fail to disappoint with another seat of the pants finish.  Dallas were able to hold their nerve again, and score a fantastic victory over a Head Coach that is one of the true greats of GP.  The cowboys have a perfect platform to concrete their dynsaty as the NFC powerhouse of their era.
I have no idea why team Salmon are considering giving the GB away next season, after they scored a stunning victory over the savage Bears.  on the road, the Redbirds scored thier most important victory of the year in style, limiting the dangerous Cicago offence and pounding their own ground game down the throat of the Bear central.  It sets up an enhralling NFC Championship between two good plas and GB rivals.

The Steelers ended the Seattle fairytale, in a classic match.  The hawks fought to the end, but just couldn't quite match the Steeler nerve when the match was at its hottest.  A fantastic job done by HC Konrad, gives seattle plenty to build on for next season.  Samson mah continues to show why he is one of the elite Gb coaches, as he has fashioned his unfashionable Pitt into a formidable unit.  They and the Dolphins have a fierce rivalry, and Miami will have to be at their best to resisit the Yellow Towell Charge.  Form coming into the playoffs means so much, and they kept the bal rolling this week. Will be a tight AFC Championship game.

The Ravens visit to Miami was pure heartache. The Ravens tried valiantly, but could not capitalize with any score board pressure.  their defence was magnificent, and kept the Dolphin offence in tight check.  Disappointing finish for Coach Ennis in what was a largely a very good campaign.

Miami struggled in large parts in this game, and must improve to knock off the impressive Steelers. Am hoping we can move it up a gear for this game.

A great game Sam, I really enjoyed reading it and I think overall you certainly deserved the win. Was very happy with my teams defensive effort, unfortunately as I suspected my offence just didn't have enough about it in my first season to take advantage and win the game. Rest assured next season that won't be the case, the Rams offence will ROCK!

Have to say I wasn't too disappointed to lose. Not only does it set up a wonderful rivalry between the Cowboys and Rams for hopefully seasons to come (I love having someone to gun for!) but also I honestly don't like "winning it all" in my first season in charge when I've set myself the challenge of turning a team around and haven't even set the squad up how I want yet. I won BS and A9 in my first seasons and despite the elation of winning another SB / GB it does lower the drive to win it all again. Can't explain why exactly, I guess its because those teams still didn't feel entirely "mine". Anyway, I digress. Congrats once again Sam, should be a great NFC Champ game and good luck to all still in the playoffs!

Martyn,

was a struggle for my cowboys on offence, but that has been the story for some time and hopefully with the addition of 2 WR's via the draft and free agency the passing game can make it to the same level as the running game. otherwise more struggles await next season on offence.

with greg leaving next season, will leave the three big teams as your Rams, Dallas and the Bears. As long as Arden stays at the bears then these three teams will be bashing heads for the nfc championship for a long while to come, and I don't plan on leaving for a while yet.
