Here is a puzzler for you all to give me advice on!

I had two QBs, but very little LPs & a need to FIX players on my D.  So I decided to waive my reduced QB, leaving me with a 9 year 2* trigger man.  I now have enough LPs to fix the D, but a good looking FA in the shape of a 6 year 6* QB has appeared!

Question is:  Would it be more beneficial for me to sign the 6* FA & start him for the year as a reduced QB (fixing the D in a few weeks & waiving the now unused vet), or stick with the 9 year Vet, training him up to 4* & fixing the D in a few weeks?  (Please note that the Vet won the first game of the year & keeping him would also allow me to keep my 3* rookie TE – although I do have a 6 year 2 * TE already!)

There are other options for mobile QBs, but the two above seem the best options – although the 4* man would not have ORO.

I’m thinking I should keep the Vet (making the most of his experience), train him up, FIX the D, waive the rookie TE anyway & use the LPs to fill holes in the secondary!

Hope that all makes sense?!

Any suggestions most welcome….

I will probably do that.  The reason I waived the other guy was because he was destined to retire at the end of the year.  I needed the LPs in order to save another vital player!!

if you want to go to a mike thorp potter or smug type offence with a big play passing game take the 6* qb otherwise stay with your other guy IMO

Although the 6* man does sound very tempting, I’m thinking more along the QB experience for keeping the 2* guy.  At the present time, I would have enough LPs to coach him in OPS & OPL, then fix that vital member of my D.  This would take about three weeks to complete.

If I sign the FA, I then will end up waiving my 2* fully fit QB, my rookie TE, taking the same amount of time to process.

TBH, I thought I’d jump at the chance to sign the 6* guy (& tried to do so this week, but forgot that FA signings come before WA actions, thus meaning I didn’t have enough LPs.)  A bit of a blessing as it’s given me two more weeks to think it through.  If the 2* guy had lost the first game, then it’d be a sure thing I’d got for the FA, but seeing as he won…..

The burning question is, who is better – a 6*, 6 year reduced QB or a 4* (after training), 9 year QB?!?!

If you have a strong OL and backs with OQB then the 9 year old looks pretty good. Is your roster ready to compete with the big boys? If it is then I would take the 9 year old and watch the spears fly.
